keep wales safe from junk incinerators
10th January 2012

As the Dambusters returned home dramatically reducing the threat to the nation's well-being during World War II so the Welsh Christian Party have taken up the baton in Wales to ensure only safe incineration of waste can take place. We have proven Welsh Assembly Government proposals for South Wales were unsafe and if the North Wales incinerators are to be of the same kind then we will send in our troops to bust schemes that can reduce life expectancy dramatically.
According to BBC News on the 11th. July 2011 public consultation has begun over multi million pound plans to process non-recyclable waste in North Wales. The two potential sites have been ear-marked for the Island of Anglesey and Deeside in Flintshire.
We learn the Anglesey operation is on hold because Anglesey Aluminium have refused to sell the land but bidders are welcome to propose their own sites so Anglesey is still at risk as is all of North West Wales. We await news of the North East Wales proposals that if the same as South Wales will place the public in serious danger. 2014 is the year the Procurement look to have passed planning.
If the same technology is to be used in the North Wales Incinerators as proposed for the South Wales ones, then there must be a serious concern for public health.
The threat to public safety is very real from incinerators not only to those living within reach of the incinerator but also 25 miles downwind leaving the towns towards Colwyn Bay at risk from the proposed Anglesey site and towns towards Frodsham in Cheshire from the proposed Deeside site. The scale is enormous with five councils joining together to create the region's single largest joint local government procurement project but they are totally msiguided. Once the Christian Party exposed the health risks from the proposed Merthyr Tyfil site in 2011, the Covanta £400 million project lost traction and was abandoned. It was due to the late GP Dr. Dick Van Steenis extensive global research that equipped not only the party but the locals with the facts they needed to oppose the proposals.
In South Wales the Welsh Christian Party distributed a leaflet to 110,000 homes within the Newport constituencies warning of the dangers of the Welsh Assembly Government incinerators.
A large gathering of people at Merthyr Tydfil came to hear the staggering facts presented by Dr. Van Steenis. He explained that the Environment Agency had confirmed the escape of 90% of PM1's from these incinerators. PMIs are minute particles that get into peoples bodies and can cause any of the following conditions:
1) Birth defects and low birth weight, stillbirths, miscarriages, premature death of babies, infants and adults, SIDS, cot deaths.
2) Autism, MS, Attention Deficit, and other behavioural problems that can lead to crime, lower IQ.
3) Asthma, Respiratory and other infections (especially boys).
4) Hypothyroidism (adding to obesity), coronary heart disease, hypertension, strokes, diabetes.
5) Endometriosis, Clinical depression and suicides.
6) Cancers.
The Christian Party exposed the fact that the Welsh Assembly Government has broken six laws in their support for the proposals and the party promotes only a system safe for public health must be used meaning the electric plasma gasification system.
The Welsh Christian Party was the only party to oppose the plans by the Welsh Assembly Government for South Wales and we will continue to oppose the plans for North Wales if the safe incinerators are not proposed.
